BREAKING NEWS: ONLINE VIDEO 'SAVE CLYNE VALLEY!' NOW AVAILABLE TO VIEW on the Swansea Telly site.  Read about us on p50 of the online local magazine, Gower News.

FRIDAY 30th SEPTEMBER is the DEADLINE to HAVE YOUR SAY, by midnight (11.59pm)

Clyne Valley is under threat from development. Through submissions as LDP candidate sites, Swansea City Council want to turn TWO parts of it into residential developments.

KS0001, the fields at Killay end, is over 8 hectars and could be approximately 300 houses.

SK0026, is at the Derwen Fawr end of the Country Park.

Please help us to persuade the council to withdraw immediately these sites from the LDP and retain its status as Green Wedge and Country Park.     YOU can help save these sites......

1) Have your say, comment and object at the LDP site:

THIS IS THE ONLY WAY THAT THE PLANNERS WILL TAKE NOTICE.

We have made it easy for you by giving pages of comments to choose from when logging onto the Council's website. It will take you a time, say 10-20 minutes, for the first site that you comment on (it then gets quicker and easier!), but it is GUARANTEED that your comments are logged and acted upon by the Planning Dept.

Make your comments known online: Have your say

Most of your time will be spent in choosing comments, then the actual online process itself is very quick and easy.

Choose your comments from KS0001, Country Park, Green Wedge etc

Or by email or paper copy, and other ideas:How you can help

Stay informed, & ask questions  through our email Group Save Clyne Valley

Watch Bob Cotterill's Swansea Telly video 'Save Clyne Valley!'

We only have until the 30th September 2011 to register our objections to the proposals, so if you are keen to help please don't delay- it will be too late!

2) SIGN OUR ONLINE PETITIONS NOW:

In addition, we have set up petitions. There is NO guarantee that they will be effective (unlike the above commenting online). However, we are trying all methods at our disposal to get our objections known.

Anyone can sign this one, you don't need to live in Swansea, just be concerned about saving Country Park and green wedge.

And if you live in Swansea, also sign this as it calls for current staus to continue as recreation and greenspace.

3) Other local Sites worth defending.

Through this site you can also become informed about other sites that threaten the countryside around Killay, such as KN0001, KN0002, KN0007 and  SK00026. Also there are some 'good sites' that are worth supporting as they also defend against development.

Most PHOTOS on this site are of threatened site KS0001

Have your say: prevent building on a Country Park & green wedge countryside.

This ancient track and the fields either side will be obliterated by KS0001

YOU can make a difference through the petition and having your say online.

Photo, above. Have your say, or the oak avenue overarching the ancient road will be wiped out by KS0001 if residential development is approved.
